Short version: SyncaMap only reads what Shopify authorizes, stores what's needed to map your wholesale customers, and never sells your data.

Who we are

SyncaMap is operated by Rare Brew Corp. ("SyncaMap", "we", "our"). This policy describes how we handle information when Shopify merchants install and use the SyncaMap app.

What we collect

  • Shopify store data: orders, customers, products, and shop settings that Shopify grants access to when you install SyncaMap. We use these to detect wholesale orders and map them.
  • Location data: shipping addresses tied to qualifying orders are geocoded to coordinates so they can be shown as pins on your storefront map.
  • App usage: logs of sync events, errors, and admin activity for troubleshooting and product analytics.

How we use it

  • To provide the SyncaMap features you configured (sync rules, map, CSV, analytics).
  • To support you when you email us for help.
  • To improve product performance in aggregate. We never sell personal data.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell wholesale customer data to third parties.
  • We do not use your data to train third-party AI models.
  • We do not access data outside the Shopify scopes you approved on install.

Subprocessors

We use Shopify (hosting the app), a geocoding provider to translate addresses into coordinates, and Google Analytics for aggregate site traffic on our marketing website. These providers are contractually required to protect data on our behalf.

Data retention

When you uninstall SyncaMap from your Shopify store, we delete your store data within 30 days, following Shopify's app data retention rules.

Your rights

Under GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your data. Email support@syncamap.com with your Shopify store URL and we'll respond within 30 days.
