From spreadsheet to 150+ pins: the Rare Brew playbook

How Rare Brew went from a broken spreadsheet of stockists to 150+ auto-mapped retailers, and the exact playbook they used to build SyncaMap for their own store.

We built SyncaMap for ourselves before we sold it to anyone. Here is what that looked like from the inside on the way to 150+ auto-mapped retailers, and the four moves any Shopify wholesale brand can copy today.

1. Tag every wholesale order at the source

We treat wholesale as a first-class thing in Shopify: a customer tag on the retailer, an order tag on the order. That single decision unlocked everything downstream.

2. Sync one channel at a time

We started with Faire because it was our biggest channel, got it feeling boring, then added Airgoods and direct wholesale. Trying to auto-sync everything at once is how projects die.

3. Make it a moment for the retailer

Every new stockist gets an email inviting them to confirm and enrich their listing. It's five minutes of work for them and a real relationship for us.

4. Put the map somewhere customers actually look

Our Find Us page is one click from the top nav, and it's linked from every product page and every marketing email. A hidden map is a missed map.
