Shopify B2B vs Shopify Collective: which one is your wholesale channel?
Two Shopify-native wholesale products, two very different jobs. Here is how to decide which one (or both) fits your brand.

Shopify offers two very different native wholesale products in 2026: Shopify B2B (companies, catalogs, price lists on Plus) and Shopify Collective (brand-to-brand marketplace). Merchants routinely confuse them. Here is the honest cut.
Shopify B2B
A Shopify Plus feature. You configure companies, assign catalogs and price lists, and buyers order through a portal you control. Great when your wholesale accounts are large, repeat, and multi-location.
Shopify Collective
A marketplace inside Shopify itself, connecting brands (suppliers) with other Shopify stores (retailers). Discovery-first, closer in feel to Faire, but with native Shopify data.
How SyncaMap treats each
- B2B: SyncaMap maps company locations directly, not just orders. A chain with 12 stores shows all 12 pins.
- Collective: SyncaMap maps orders and their shipping addresses, using the Collective sales-channel attribution.
- Both flows can render on one Find Us map or be split into filter chips for shoppers.

Rule of thumb
If your accounts are large enterprises with multiple locations, lean into B2B. If you want net-new retailers to discover you, Collective is where you want visibility. Most brands with wholesale ambition eventually use both.
